Troy Cassar-Daley
Thursday 1st June 2023 – Kuranda Amphitheatre Understage
6:30 – 9:30 pm
TICKETS TO TROY CASSAR-DALEY HERE
Troy is set to perform an intimate concert as part of Kuranda Amphitheatre’s Under-stage relaunch on Thursday, June 1st 2023. Being no stranger to Cairns and no stranger to this part of our country, he can’t wait to grace this stage in this beautiful region that he loves and is particularly excited to play Kuranda again after all this time.
“There is something very special about far north Queensland for me. I have friends up here I met back in 1990 on the Brian Young show I would now class as family really. I am looking forward to playing in this iconic space. I’ve been on the road all year with the Red Hot Summer tour, where we have played big stages with an electric guitar show to massive audiences, but it will be a pure joy to get back to being up close with an audience again to share special stories and songs. I can’t wait”.
Troy is a proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung man who comes from a long line of storytellers and shares his musicianship with so many artists across different styles of music. His passion to pen stories about this land and what lies at the heart of it has been a driving force in his career.
Troy has been awarded numerous accolades including 40 Golden Guitars, 5 ARIAs, 3 APRA Song of the Year awards, 9 Deadlys (Australian Indigenous Artist Awards), 4 CMAA Entertainer of the Year awards plus 2 NIMAs (National Indigenous Music Awards). In 2017 Troy was honoured as the 50th inductee into the prestigious Australasian Roll of Renown. He has had numerous gold and platinum albums and achieved a staggering 32 Number 1 chart singles.
His songs have been the soundtrack to the everyday triumphs, struggles, good times and celebrations for Australians from our small towns to the big cities and everywhere in between.
Secure your tickets now to avoid disappointment. This fully seated, general admission show has limited availability. Doors are at 6:30pm with the show commencing at 7pm.
